Platinum-Selling J-Pop Artist Crystal Kay

Crystal Kay is set to join the Sakura Matsuri-Japanese Street Festival for a Saturday meet & greet and a Sunday exclusive performance!

Crystal Kay is a Japanese R&B and J-pop powerhouse who has been a defining voice in Asian pop for over two decades. Debuting at just 13 years old, she rose to stardom with a string of hit singles and albums that helped bring contemporary R&B into the Japanese mainstream.

With a multicultural background and a sound influenced by soul, pop, and hip-hop, Crystal Kay is known for her dynamic vocals, infectious stage presence, and genre-blending style. USA Sumo Returns to the Matsuri!

Announcing the return of Ichi, one of professional Sumo’s most recognized “Yokozuna Killers”, and for the first time at the Matsuri, USA Sumo’s Zorig.  Ichi and Zorig will compete on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, with Sunday morning’s bout determining the 2026 Sumo champ of the Matsuri!


Sakura Matsuri Sake Barrel Ceremony (Kagami Biraki)

The Japanese traditional kagami biraki ceremony celebrates an opening or new beginning by smashing open a barrel of sake. The Matsuri’s Saturday kagami biraki celebrates the ceremonial start of the 2026 Matsuri!
